What Information Does DMI Collect?

DMI gathers the following three types of Information about its users: (1) data that users provide through optional, voluntary registration on DMI's Web Site; (2) data that DMI gathers from third party sources or Providers; and (3) data that DMI gathers through aggregated anonymous tracking of use activity and usage trends, mainly by tallying Web pages that are viewed by users throughout this Web Site. How Does DMI Collect Information?

Use of Aggregate Tracking Information:
Use of Internet Protocol ("IP") Addresses.

An IP address is a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing or browsing the Internet so that your computer can be identified by the main computers, known as "Web servers," that "serve up" Web sites and Web pages. This IP address allows DMI to identify and gather general information and data about users, such as the Web pages that users may view.

DMI collects IP addresses for the following purposes: (1) helping DMI diagnose and resolve problems with its main computers; (2) administering its systems and this Web Site; (3) reporting aggregated anonymous information to its business partners and Providers; and (4) auditing the use of this Web Site. When users request Web pages from this Web Site, DMI's Web servers log the user's IP address.
